Brand New Charger, wont charge & LED blinks Red? Aventure

I just finally received my new Aventon Aventure Charger after 2 months of it being out oif stock- I run to my garage only to find it wont take a charge AND the LED is blinking Red ?
Any thoughts?

How did you determine it was a charger issue? What is current battery level voltage? Do Aventon chargers have a communication system, or just two wires active? In the similar to st3 type you pictured?

I did exactly as you just stated and it wont charge and the led on the charger blinks red.
I have owned the aventure for 1.5 years - the charger was stolen while my daughter was out with friends with panier etc... I have been trying to get a new charger to no avail until Wednesday Aventon sent one out. plugged charger to wall, plugged St3 carefully and firmly into battery and it was green than went directly to steadily blinking red- 6 hours later - no charge- still blinking red

Just because I cannot find the answer, what is the actual battery voltage. A battery CAN self drain and BMS block the charge and charger could blink red due to the default.

Yup, if the battery was low or empty and it sat uncharged for 2 months, you need to check the battery voltage now. Can't believe that is a proprietary charger and you couldn't get one on Amazon or eBay.

Odd ball connector. Is it in fact a 3 wire motor/battery + - com?
