Bosch update coming for Nyon & Mobile App

This from Bosch: can't yet find a source for the app update in the US.

Dear eBike Connect customer,
We are writing to you today because we are updating eBike Connect in preparation for future new features and products. Please synchronise your Nyon onboard computer and the app with eBike Connect by 25 November, so that your trips are securely saved.

We are providing an update to Nyon and the app for downloading from 29 November. Please update Nyon and the app without delay so that the old and new functions are all available to you. If you don't update, some functions may be restricted.

Your data management has been changed. The portal and app allow you to change the save settings for geolocation data and permission for diagnosis and data use. You can also activate fitness data saving in your user profile, to synchronise your heart rate or personalise your calorie settings. All of this is deactivated by default. When you first log in after updating, you will be asked if you want to activate these options. If geolocation and fitness data options are deactivated, this results in a change in behaviour of the activity and fitness functions of the portal and app.

We would also like to tell you about the following temporary changes:
•The eBike Connect app will use only the eBike login. You can still use Facebook login to access the portal. The app will help you to set a password, or you can use the function in the portal to set a password for the email address you registered with Facebook.•Management of offline maps is restricted. Please note that there may be charges for streaming maps online, particularly abroad.•The zoom function in viewing activities is temporarily deactivated.


We plan to provide these functions and other new features in the usual quality with the coming releases.
