I have an Scott sub e-bike with worn motor (gen 3) and i like to upgrade to an performance line (gen 3) motor.
The bolt pattern is the same, but will the firmwares mess up the upgrade?

Will a gen2 motor fit a gen 3 E-bike or did Bosch change the mount from gen 2 to 3?

I don't know if you can just buy the motor yourself. so you have a performance motor and want the performance speed? there is no Gen 3 on the performance motors they go from 2 to 4. cx there is. think.

There are some sellers on ebay that sells these motors.
I have an active line 40 nm that been running for 4 years and i like some more torque so an performance line 65 nm would be a nice upgrade

Ok that makes sense. Unless you can find the motor online and I have seen performance motors out there you will need a Bosch guy to do it. not all shops would do it.

I bought one gen 3 performance motor, its brand new with latest firmware installed. I guess i need to add proper wheel size in an shop. But as battery's and the purion is general it should work out of box?

yes Think so the prion does not do anything but read the info on the motor. if you have lights that may need to get setup at the shop too.

Only Bosch can do that and they won't just do that.
But who cares if the speedometer is just a bit off?
You can only adjust 5% wheel size up and down do adjust it to your tires.
And no, adjusting the wheel size 5% here won't make your bike 5% faster.
It will only go faster, if you pedal harder.
