Bosch ebike motor question

Based on my experience, I think the answer is 'the motor'.
  • The total distance ridden (22,000 km) reset to zero when my motor (Performance Line CX) was replaced.
  • Later when the Kiox display (by then reading 3,000 km; instead of 25,000 km) was replaced there was no change in the displayed total distance (of the new motor).

Interesting, so my motor was replaced, installed by myself, lbs wanted $160 to r&r, should I ask the lbs to reset my k's to zero then?

Should I ask the LBS to reset my km to zero?
What did your odometer read before the motor swap? What does it read now?

My preference would be to continue recording total distance as if there had been no interruption, but I didn't have that choice.

Depends on whether you want the odo to read mileage of the motor or the overall bike.

Now know the default mileage reads 0 upon startup of a new Bosch motor.
I have a brand new 0 miles bike! My resale just went up!
And no more Bosch marble sounds when cranking forward.
Zero noise peddling forward or reverse.
