Good June people

"Rebuilding" a second hand 350Watt Mototec Trike, have technical questions.

It is not in it's original state & the 3 original BATTERIES had been switched from 12V-12 Amps to 12V-16.5 Amps. The highier 16.5 Amps was supposed to make the trike a faster. I have ordered a brand new 350 Watt 36V Brushless Hub Motor Wheel. The wires of the motherboard " Electronic Controller", where also burnt/melted so i ordered a new one, same with defective throttle.

1) Should i fear the 16.5 Amp batteries could burn the wheel motor or should i replace the batteries with the original 12 Amp batteries that where intalled as manifacture default ?
You think those 16Amp batteries burnt/melted the electronic controller, messed up throttle ?

2) Bought a charger from a local battery shop & not sure they sold me the smartest model as they seemed alienated by my machine. The original default charger on the parts retail page says " 350w - 36v Battery Charger (1600mA)<---I don't know what 1600mA means ? I have included a picture of the charger i bought. If the 16Amp batteries are ok with the motor should i get another charger? Is this new charger even suitable if i revert the 12 Amp batteries ?
