BodyFloat / Specialized Turbo X - Seat Post Drilling for rear light wire

I called the people at Cirrus Cycles today and was told that the Kinekt 2.1 can be drilled for the wire in a similar place as the Version 2.0 described in this thread. So that's what I'll be doing to my girlfriend's and my new Kinekt posts. Love their smooth ride.

This is a picture of the new version Kinekt 2.1, disassembled, showing the white wire where I drilled a hole to thread it through.

Just ordered the Kinekt 2.1 suspension post and they provided the drill service at the Cirrus factory. Gonna install it when it arrives this week.

So my Kinekt seat post arrived today. I popped the seat post on my Vado SL 4.0 so I could make the switch, and here's what I found when I pulled out the tail light wires.

The connectors look completely different. No flat male connector. This is completely different than what other people's photos are showing here. What on earth can I do with this?

So I decided to solve the problem like an unsophisticated gorilla and just yank on the cables. Turns out they're little skinny interfaces, probably to reduce friction so that you don't need pliers. I was able to separate the wire ends with my finger tips. Got the new seat post installed and the old seat back on.

Next up, replacing the saddle and figuring out how to attach the integrated light to it!
