Black Friday deal?

Hello

My name is Casey. I rented a Specilized E levo and loved it. I have been hooked every sense the spring. I have been wanting a bike it is just hard to throw down the money. I went to one of my favorite ebike shops this weekend and they said they are going to have some amazing black friday sales. I just wanted to find out what you guys think. The 2 they have on huge discount is:

2019 XDURO NDURO 3.0 for $2650 it has the Bosch motor which I heard is not the best out of the three....shimano and Yamaha

Or

2019 XDURO ALLMTN 2.0 for $2500. This has the Yahama motor but it is not as much travel and it does not have walk assist but I don't know if that is a game changer or not.

Is either of these worth it or is there other Black friday deals that you know of?

Any advice will be great.

Thanks
Casey

Rad power bikes are $1500. I recently saw their Black Friday offer of $200 off.
I love my rover.

Both of those Haibike models are outstanding, highly rated, well established.
Court did a review on both if you want to look here.

Crazy-Lenny's has both models in stock and will ship included, no tax - $2500 for the allmtn and $2600 for the xduro 3.0. So does Fullerton Electric Bike Center here in so-Cal.

The new Boxch CX is highly rated - I would not have qualms about any of the latest motors out there. That said, I really love my Yamaha sync-drive in my new Giant. The Allmtn also has more 'trail' geometries, plenty of travel for that purpose. The Xduro is more of an enduro bike, so fast downhills, more travel, longer geometries, slacker steering for stability. The new 'auto' mode control for the Bosch gets high marks. I've tried both, but hard to tell any difference in a LBS parking lot.

If we could get Giant to discount their mountain bikes like that I would probably already have one of theirs. The Haibikes sold well at near their msrp's over the last couple of years, now blowing them out for the holiday sales. Yes, they're a steal-deal. My guess is they had a mega-ton of them built and now want them moved out for new models.

Crazy-Lenny's also has the Sduro 9.0 at near those prices as well, about $3K or so - also a very good trailbike.

I'm going nuts wanting a e-mountain bike, but I've spent nearly my entire lifetime on dirtbike motorcycles and they nearly killed me. Here I am barking up nearly the same tree. 🤣

Make sure your dealer is well established and will be around for at least the duration of the warranty. ;)

Thanks for sharing the information. What do you think about the deal on the BH Easymotion bikes...Atom Lynx 6 and Rebel Lynx 5.5?

I got my Haibike allmtn 20 for $2300 2 weeks ago. I love it. It’s a tank though. 52 pounds????

Nice ride... currently listed at $2,500. ;)

I think I saw one of those at one of my local bike shops - had never heard of the brand. I remember the 'lynx' logo though, and the bike was gorgeous. They weren't discounting them so much, so it just seemed average compared to other offerings from Haibike, Giant, Trek, etc. A four or five thousand dollar emtb is just that - a chunk of change. For a couple of grand, wow, that seems like a bargain.

Here's the USA site for BH BIKES, the Rebel Lynx 5.5: (Link Removed - No Longer Exists)

I was reading over on one of the major MTB forums, they have a section for eMTB's, but gee, talk about infighting and back-biting, those people are animals over there. Surely there are some good peeps, but wow, they have all the keyboard jockies you could want there, hating on each other.
Anyway, there are fans for every motive brand, but the most popular or best supported seem to be the Yamaha and Bosch CX - with Brose and Specialized coming in close behind. The two former seem to be the most reliable in terms of performance, not breaking down, quiet, and work well, good range, good integration, and dealer support. The latter being a biggie - including future parts availability and support. The least favorite is anything with proprietary systems and parts - here today - gone to-maui - leaving you high and dry. LOL

I noticed one of those models, probly the cheaper of the two, seemed to be missing a dropper seat-post. IMO that's a must-have for a mountain bike. Otherwise they both look like nice trail bikes, enduro machines. Perhaps someone will come along here that has one. I did not look for product reviews here.

I don’t get what’s up your **** about rad, they seem to hold up, built well for what you pay. I’m sure a few people have had problems with them, but for some reason you seem to have a bigger problem with them
We see posters here with 4 loose spokes in first 500 miles. Poster on maintenance forum has a bent front axle. There is steel, and there is scrap. Rad buys a lot of scrap. Bike left cost $1500 without motor or battery, no such issues in 5000 miles.

If you want your battery to do most of the work, Bosch is reliable, durable, fast.
At my age people that don't work their heart die in a year or two. Or like my Dad, take all the heart medicines and have a stroke that ruined his brain after 2 years of retirement. Use it or lose it.
I pedal unpowered unless the wind is high in my face or I'm on the 50th to 66th hill after 24 miles. Yamaha and Shimano let you pedal unpowered without spinning the motor. Bosch does not.
Walk assist is only important if you are tiny or push the bike upstairs with a load. Mine weighs 135 lb loaded and I can push it on gentle slopes, despite being 160 lb myself.

I demoed a Turbo Levo last spring and it was hands down the most fun I have ever had on two wheels. But keep in mind that this is very much a purpose built mountain bike built to withstand serious trail riding and abuse. I have no personal experience with Haibike although I have heard wonderful things and will look at one for my next commuter, but I do question how well they would compare to a Levo for serious trail use. Note that at the price they are offered for you could expect to get a solid but entry level full suspension bike, or a solid ebike, but I would not expect to combine the two at that price and match the performance of a Levo.

I think in this instance it really depends on your intended use. Mostly roads with some trail and general mountain biking should be a great choice. Higher level tech riding with drops, you might be looking at some significant upgrades.

No. I have no bone to pick. But doing customer service for 5 years does give me a modicum of additional insight. Buyers are really happy or very frustrated. If I’m in the 9 out of ten happy campers all is well. But if I’m weak in eBike skill sets it can be a devastating disappointment. I’m back offish wth the entire customer direct sales model. Funny, we all want the best pay possible in our chosen careers yet that bike mechanic doesn’t have the same needs? All good! Ride and smile another day. Another gift.

it’s a big bike and regardless of how many tubes of KY Gel it hurts... seriously we all tend to defend the bike we bought...

What I particularly like about my Haibike is that I got to test ride it, and as such, literally knew what I was getting into. That is key I think.

That and that I wanted a bike like no otherin my little stable—have a giant defy 3 road bike, a trek fx with fenders, my rain bike.

now I have a German designed emtb (ebike) that has a full suspension and helped me tear up 23 miles of trail last weekend. It exudes, feels quality. Do I like the external battery? It works functionally, not aesthetically. Can I have gone 23 miles on a NON ebike On the trails last Saturday and completed? No
The Haibike made me 28 years old again. I’m 54. That is cheap for $2300. Wicked cheap. And is sturdy.

my wahoo bolt has a spot on each bike, because I love it and it’s Strava integration.

Here's the USA site for BH BIKES,

Never heard of BH Bikes? If I remember correctly they're the oldest and largest bike company in the world. Although on occasion I read where Giant is the largest.

I'm about in the same boat. Purchased the 10.0 Yamaha LT and it is "wicked" to say the least. It will literally take anything I put in front of it. Very well built and reliable and a JOY to ride 24/7. At https://www.crazylennysebikes.com prices, I could not pass it up and priced a high end E-bike, very affordable. I am in my 50s feeling like I am in my 20s again on the trails! Awesome!
