Big mistake!

What if you tied the two ropes together on the pulling end and adjusting the tie point where they pull together? Is there a better way. I am trying to see in my mind how you laced for one rope pulling
I thought of that as well... But for some reason I prefer the one rope. It'll probably be easier to visualize when it's in front of you.

But what I did is lace the far end as shown.
Then on the pulling/lock end instead of exiting to become the pull, I go around the wheel and down to the second set of hooks and then back up to the lock mech.. around the second wheel and then out the lock and down to be a single pull rope.
Honestly I don't think it makes that big of a difference either way.

Where I do most of my work it has ceiling tiles. What do you do to keep it from rocking when you apply torque?
It really doesn't move much and you can easily compensate... And you have to be equally careful in a Park stand that isn't bolted down, if not more.

I am sorry we are back to this. How did you connect the two ropes, by a clamp or other?

Ok, did you tie the ropes together? I do not see a knot where they attach. Also is it hard to pull an 85-88lbs E-Bike?

It's really simple to lace so don't sweat it. You'll understand when you have it in hand.
One end of the rope is tied to the ceiling mount, laced thru the wheels and then the other end you pull.
My bike is +80lbs and I lift it without struggle and without removing the battery.
I don't have that problem.
Me too... But Jerry and Willis seem to be on thin ice already.

Well Gioni Baloni, I guess I have a new nick “Willis” LOL 😂🤣😂

I also don't pay anywhere near that price.
That's even better. Want to buy me one? 🙃

Another consideration for me is that floor space is at a bit of a premium and I appreciate that the hoist is out of the way when not in use. The hoist is also nice in that you can walk around the bike and it's never in the way.
All methods have their +/- so what ever works, works.

That's why we are getting one for the shop. The third bay is swing space. If we need to put bikes there, we just roll this out of the way. A post mount just won't work there.
