BBSHD and Boost spacing?

Hi all,

Will the 68mm bbshd mid drive with a 42t chain ring work on a mtb with a 1x drivetrain and with 12x142 or Boost spacing? Or can I only use a 135mm hub bike which has been build around a 2x or 3x up front rather than these newer small up front and huge out back mtb's with wide wheel clearance? I worry about the wide intrusive chainstays interfering with the motor/chain ring. I plan to run a 8 or 9 speed. I've already bought the bbshd and had it sitting in my room for a year so I don't think I can return it, I really want to get this bike sorted. Thank you

Stick it in there and see? The 2 critical pieces are the chain line and disk rotor alignment with the caliper if you're set up for disk brakes.

Thank you, I don't have the bike yet though so want to be sure it'll fit before buying the bike
