BBS02B 750W Headlight rating

Yeah.. That's what you get when you buy direct from China.... a mix of poorly translated and exaggerated descriptions.
But then again IP65 is a level of waterproofing... and a stvzo rating isn't rocket science or difficult to achieve.
That said, most of the time you receive something of reasonable quality.
I don't ride at night or in bad weather and I can't see spending $80+ for something that will be used more as a running light.
I'll post a few pics if I ever get it with the delayed covid 19 shipping times.

Tap off the battery output and a light rated for a range of voltages is the best solution for me. That light leads to some systems are very low voltage. input DC6V 12V 36V 48V 60V 72V LED electric bike light

The Roxim's look good!
My reference was to the other Aliexpress one which mentioned IP65 as waterproof (IPX5 is at best Rain Resistant, not waterproof :))

Really?

The Roxim website states that the X4e Light is Rain proof and gives no IP rating whatsoever.
(Link Removed - No Longer Exists)
And in their sales brochure the best rating of any product is IPX4(which the X4e does not have) ... which has no dust rating and is only protected against water splashes from all directions.

On the other hand IP65 translates to...
IP: Ingress Protection +
First Digit 6 = Totally dust tight +
Second Digit 5: Water projected by a nozzle against enclosure from any direction.=
IP65 Enclosure: Rated as dust tight and protected against water projected from a nozzle from any angle.

So in the end Roxim paid the Germans so they can put the StVZO on their packaging and sell it at a premium to those that feel a bike light requires rocket science.
Do you know what criteria the StVZO standard requires?

That said I'd take both companies claims with a grain of salt.
But I'll keep my $70 and enjoy a few beers (Now that's German technology worth investing in) instead of thinking I've got the best bike light ever.

You could spend a lifetime finding nutty descriptions, often in Chinglish, across all of Aliexpress. I make a judgement on the landed quality.

Im sure the Roxim is a solid product, many positive reviews. And for those with CA running things, I'm sure it's a neat and easy add on.
But for my end use.. the price tag is more bling than thing.

Tsingtao Brewery Co. Ltd. is China's second largest brewery, with about 15% of domestic market share. It was founded in 1903 by German settlers.

What'd I say....

Not sure if this is the exact model as many look similar.
Any markings on it?

Hey Thomas
I got the light and it seems to be of more than acceptable quality for my needs... thanks again for the recommendation.
I slipped a diode in the loop so the horn flashes the light ;-)

A quick note... The headlight/ horn combo only draws 120ma/80ma @48v respectively.. So if one wanted to use the 500ma available by the controller I say it would be safe to do so.
That said I prefer the battery tap and separate switches as opposed to doing so thru the display buttons.

Got caught in a unexpected heavy downpour this morning... Let's see if it's still working tomorrow :p
