Battery Upgrade

Hi to all, I am a newbie to this Forum but not in years, I was born half way through last century. I have an Avanti emtb 36 volt 10.4 ah.
The bike has a Mid mount Bafang motor i`am looking to purchase a 36 volt 15.6 ah battery to suit Bafang.
the question I have is can this be a straight upgrade or are there going to be issues.
I know nothing about the tech stuff.

Totally doable but I would suggest researching if the new battery has the same cradle as yours. That way you can swap them out easily. They are not all the same....also make sure you have +/- leads with the same connectors.
