Battery Upgrade

I don't think that one will fit.
But any 48V dolphin battery should fit (the stock is 11.6Ah). Like this one:

Then this one might fit too, you might need to check the measurements carefully:

In all, the battery is a standard dolphin battery, not anything proprietary - so upgrades and replacements are certainly possible.

IMO, having a second battery that fits on the mounting plate (a dolphin battery), would give you the most range. As opposed, to changing the mount to fit the "black killer whale" one (not sure if the mounts are the same).

I have two radrovers. I would go for a 2nd plug-n-play 48v 11-13ah battery of the same type to 2X your range. I sometimes take longer rides on the weekend and put my wife's RR battery in my rack bag. Any type of incline or headwind can really knock miles off my range. I don't have "range anxiety" anymore knowing I have a full battery pack to get me back home.

The upgrade to the 52v 17.5ah will require a different battery tray and 52v charger. I don't think the Radrover triangle is large enough for the Killer whale pack? Your existing ($500) Radrover battery+charger will just be collecting dust in a corner once you make the switch.

The Dolphin is one of the most durable cases. As cells improve we're getting more Ah in a case. IF you going to move to multiple battery sizes a Satiator charger becomes a more attractive purchase financially. A great way to extend battery life. Especially with multiple batteries and if there are any extended storage periods. Charging to 50% will greatly help if you store a battery over winter for instance. Lately I've been adding dolphin bases to my rear rack and carrying two batteries. Despite the posts to the contrary, I don't mind 7lbs on my rear rack and 7lbs in my triangle. It's SOOO much easier with a single voltage.
