Bafang M625 Canbus cable

So, I'm rebuilding an old recumbent bike of mine and adding a Bafang M625 motor to it. Due to the motor being at the end of a boom, the distance between the battery and the motor is further than the length of the cables included. An extension for the power cable is easy, they internet is crawling with them. The issue I have is the CANbus cable. Either no one has an extension cable for this (for my situation or for people who need to mount the battery on a rack). I could just cut one of the included cables and solder in a some appropriate wire, but I'd really rather not. I'd like to either find a cable that can do the job, or at least find out what the cable connectors are. I know they have to be a standard of some kind. (The bike is a 1996 ATP Vision if anyone is interested.)

Have been scouring the internet for the EB-BuS 2105020000099 connectors myself. Bafang claims they have no extenders. They will not provide information on the types of plugs used to make an extender. Have found a China vendor that sells the other proprietary connectors with 1 meter leads. Was able to extend the Speed Sensor cable for a recumbent trike. The last connection I need is the same as you, Battery Communications Cable that is two-wire on battery end, 3 wire on motor end.

Told the person that bought the motor that we need to splice the battery (two wire) end since Bafang cannot get their engineers to make extenders.

One simple cable extension puts the brakes on the whole entire kit. And one would of thought that if these smaller wires are the brains of the kit, why were they not built more rugged? And yet, have this massive gap to fill.

I ended up splicing the battery sensor cable and the speed sensor myself. (The speed sensor needs all four wires.) I also had to splice the power cable to the rear light as the cable that came with the after market light was bad. Ended up doing a pretty thorough stem-to-stern rebuild as this poor thing had been siting in a shed for 25 years. Yeah, the battery sensor cables are a sick joke. Very thin, very fragile. And no, I would not recommend the M625 or M325 to anyone, unless they already know the frame fits.

Is that an ICE? Been thinking about getting one of those.

TerraTrike Rover. Was the only option at the time due to its weight capacity. Greenspeed Magnum Plus is the only alternative in the tadpole market.

Had a Tongsheng TSDZ2 that performed well. Had no issues at all installing it. Worked well until 113 miles, while on a hard pack trail. Hit some soft stuff and lost the gear. It got sent back for repair, and my friend bought this Bafang M625 as he heard it was made more for cargo bikes. Roger figured this would be the better option in a 1,000 watt version, whereas the TSDZ2 was set at 650 watts.

Since installing the M625 I have had nearly 1 month downtime trying to find parts, support, suppliers. Roger bought the kit; he stated the vendor contacted Bafang and Bafang says they have nothing for extenders. And if we were to alter anything the warranty is void. Serioulsy, what does Bafang expect people to do? Bafang made a proprietary system that uses proprietary connectors, and no support. 1 month downtime and snow is supposed to come next week. All this time wasted, and not going to be able to ride during winter, all because Bafang will no supply extensions for the SYSTEM THEY CREATED.

Told my friend to let us package the motor back up, get his money back, and I'll go back to being a slowpoke with am Efneo front hub. Bafang only cares about their revenue, not their customers. At least this is what I am getting. Got nailed with a bad case of Covid 2 years ago, almost died, and have struggled to get back to the performance I used to be before that virus. Used to pedal 7 to 11 MPH, now am down to 3 to 6 MPH.
When Roger gave me a Tongsheng TSDZ2 is was like touching heaven. Opened a whole new world and I was enjoying life again. Then when it died, he got this, and am one wiring harness away from riding. The Tongsheng motor kit came back with lower gears and a PEEK gear. Eco.Cycles has been 100% supportive. Bafang, pfft.

I too want to splice that battery wire. would fix what Bafang wants to ignore.
