Bafang m420 intermittent behaviour

Dear eBike forum members,

I've got a Cortina bike with a bafang m420 mid drive motor "issue". When I turn on the motor when I'm already moving it apparently gets a bit confused and it then starts to behave really annoying with this intermittent on/off behaviour. I don't see any other error codes on the lcd screen when this occurs.

When I first turn on the motor and then start to cycle there doesn't seem to be a problem whatsoever.

Not a major issue but just curious if someone knows what causes this. Maybe a software issue? I do know someone with the same (but more recent) m420 bafang motor and he doesn't have this problem as far as I know.

Would be helpful if someone on this forum knows how to solve this !

Řešil jsem podobný problém se zákazníkem, byla špatná řídící jednotka, nebo se jí také říká contorler, po výměně vše v pořádku

Oké thanks for the reply, already had a suspicion the controller could be the culprit here. But for now I will leave it like this, too expensive/much of a hassle to fix this.
