Bafang Light Kit Tail Light Issues

Hello I am new to the group hoping for a little help. I installed the bafang front and rear light kit with brake light and turn signals. Everything work perfect except the brake lights stay lit all the time even when controller and light switch and battery turned off. When all on I apply the brake they do get brighter pic 2. Not sure what is going on. If I disconnect the brake sensors it goes off. Turn signals and front light work fine. Hopefully you understand my rambling. thank you for any help

Which kit? Pictures or link please. It makes zero sense that you have lights if the battery power is cut.

no power? No lights!

The fact it quits when the brake switches are disconnected seems pretty important to my way of thinking. Would need to see a schematic/wiring diagram to be of any use beyond that.

Thought being, if the kit pulls power from a full time source (regardless of the rest of the system status) it COULD be using the brake switch to supply the GROUND side of the kit's power requirement.....

Unless I completely misread he’s posted twice and each case was different. My tail light stays on and braking makes it brighter but no power from the battery and it still lights up?

Yes, that's why I think any suggestions are guesses at best without a wiring diagram at minimum.

Well since it’s a necro thread revived with two different scenarios from the fella that resurrected it I think we’re both peeing into the wind…

same problem” just different. And in both threads nothing is ever clarified by the OP.
Damn it I just polished my shoes too…

I think he meant he's having trouble with his install as well....
