I have seen that controller on the Bafang website. Bafang don’t reply to my emails though. I’m not familiar with CAN. Please enlighten me.

Easy way is to use common Rad KT 35A mod by changing the controller side motor cable into L1122. Not too hard.

With a bit more info from I will do my best to see if I can help you out "some"

1. So that you know the the different #'s 062 and 063 - just mean the motor connectors are different (and different connectors also requires a small manufacuring change to the 063 case fro m 062) - G062.1000 or G062.1000 can have the exact same Performance Spec.

2. w/Hub motor like G062.1000 - you would buy a "kit" from China with 30A-controller/Display/BrakeCutoffs/Wiring -+ buy the Hub Motor + plus buy decent 20AH 48V-52V-60V Battery using 21700 cells. My opinion 72V is a bit too much with Hub Motors

3. If you want "more Power" and "more Acceleration" and "a bit more speed" then go with a Bfaang or CYC mid-drive kit you can run that up to 72V if you want.

4. If this is your "First Build" - if in your like you don't have the space to build - or you don't have a full week to set aside for the build - then frankly you might consider "having it Built-For-You".
Having it "Built-For-You" it's the Builders job to make sure the components integrate well for both effectiveness and for reliability especially with your 'First Build" the most excitement is Riding the dang eBike !
Agreed. I have not seen any difference in G062/G063 other than the connector. As far as I know the 1122 connector is worse than the L1019, all of the cables I have seen are only 2.5mm2 phase wires, no better than the G062? Seems the G062 is better than the G063, plus has better aftermarket support. But im staying tuned.

Also agreed with JTK- what I do is use any controller, I buy a 6 pin hall box with pigtails for like $3, and a L1019 or 1122 cable, solder the phase wires to the phase wires of the controller, and the 5-6 sensor wires to the 6 pigtail wires of the hall sensor. It will turn any controller into a 1122 compatible controller.

@Boosted I'm in a similar boat with a G063 with the L1122 connector and looking for a better controller.
Are you able to provide a little more detail about your procedure to swap the connector on a controller? I've been looking at the Grin Phasrunner, but I'd be on my own to swap the connector to L1122.
