Back on the bike

We have been in Poland for a while now, but for the first eight months without our belongings which were in storage in the UK. This included both our Riese and Muller Nevo 3 e-bikes.

We are now in our new house and our belongings have been delivered. We are now enjoying our bikes and riding around the area exploring the new parts. The cycle paths over here are much better and more numerous than the UK.

One thing we must do is get them serviced as both of them state "Service Due" when you switch them on. Fortunately there is a Riese and Muller dealer in nearby Wrocław, so we will get them booked in there. Both are running OK, but mine does appear to be rubbing somewhere.

The house is virtually finished, with the kitchen being finished next week. Presently having the garden done, terrace, paths, fencing and additional parking area.

Must admit that we’re really looking forward to getting everything finished.

Exploring new places is one of my very favorite things to do, and no better way to do it than on a bike — or better yet, an ebike. Lots of fun ahead for you two, and the good bike infrastructure only makes it better.

DG, a wonderful news! You are living now in Lower Silesia, which is one of the most beautiful regions of Poland, and probably best for e-biking!

Exploring new places is one of my very favorite things to do, and no better way to do it than on a bike — or better yet, an ebike. Lots of fun ahead for you two, and the good bike infrastructure only makes it better.

My wife is Polish. I took early retirement in 2018 and last year I said, why don’t we move to Poland to be nearer the family when I get to the state pension age.

Which is what we did and here we are.

Must admit that it’s a more relaxed lifestyle here than in the UK, less busy and less crowded.

The city of Wrocław is beautiful with an interesting history which I’m enjoying exploring and reading up on.

Have you had the service? I am just curious as to what that entails (in particular related to the motor and electrics).

Not yet, but did have them serviced a few time in the UK. They attach a computer to run diagnostics which advises the status of everything, though never had any issues with the motor or the electrical system.

They also update the software / firmware, where necessary. Rest of it is standard mechanical bike stuff.

They just cycle around in circles looking for land.
