Aventure 2 hub motor maintenance

Try to find a video or at least a description of how to dissemble and grease the rear hub on my Aventure2. Anybody have a link to such information?
Thanks

I've owned several rear hub Aventon ebikes. One had over 8,000 miles before I sold it. None ever needed rear hub lubrication. I have done rear hub lubrication on a Ride1Up with many miles. It was making more noise than I cared for. It was simple to remove the 6 screws and open the hub to the gears and add appropriate gear grease. There are youtube videos for this project. Maybe not specifically for the Aventure but all rear hubs are basically the same. 3 small nylon gears and the one big rotor gear.

Thanks for the reply. My gears are getting noisy, the hub motor on the Aventure looks different than a most hub motors, the wires to motor enter from the opposite side than where the screws are located. Not sure how the wire needs to be arranged in order to separate the motor from the hub, I worried I may damage something if done incorrectly.

Just put the motor on blocks. You can now access the screws. I need an impact screwdriver to loosen 2 of the 6 screws. After that it was easy peasy.

I’ve seen those videos but notice, that the motors wires enter on the removable side but on the Aventure2 the wires enter the opposite side, I assume they pull through but wondering if there’s some kind of wire retention mechanism that would need to be released before trying to pull the wire and removable section of the motor off.

Nah, just start disaassembling, and take pictures as you do. You'll be fine. The construction is pretty similar.

I believe that your motor is the Bafang G060: if not, tell us whch motor you have. Which side the cables come out really is not an issue.

G060:
