Me too, been MTBing since '91 or so. I remember when suspension was considered "cheating..."

eMTBs hooked me hard these past few years. I've always had low aerobic capacity and found riding with a lot of inclines to be downright anaerobic (painful). Lyme Disease and age knocked me completely off the saddle around 2013, but ebikes have me riding 10x as much as I ever did. Now I weigh what I did when I was 30!

As a result of riding so much, I find myself going through tires, chains and brake pads 10x more frequently too. When I saw what the good stuff costs, I flipped out! Then I found bikes-discount.de. Tires that go on sale here for $70+ are sub-$50 there, and $50+ chains go for $30. Last year I got 27.5x2.8" Schwalbe Nobby Nics (with the Cube logo) from them for $20 - those tires list at over $90!!!

There are downsides. Shipping's ~$30 and you have to wait 10-12 daze cuz they're in Germany, but if you buy multiple items you can save $100s overall. They also won't ship lithium batteries or any SRAM stuff. Food for thought?
