Anyone up for a ride with this guy?

I sent this to an old riding acquaintance, and he replied asking if I realized it was CGI.
I'm a tech guru and I had to look that up...computer generated imaging. :)

CGI makes sense, as that looks absolutely wacko. However, i do have a buddy who might have done that 40 years ago...

Wow, that first 30 second or so o_O That's got to be the MTB equivalent of free climbing.

The quality isn't great but having spent the better part of a decade working in VFX I'll go out on a limb and say it's 100% real.

We'll, it's cool enough to forward along. Gives you the willies.
My BIL did take me up on some hillside traverse trails like that that were REALLY narrow, with a lot of rock outcroppings you had to go over. You just have to keep moving. The problem is if you make a mistake, you go off the trail and down the embankment. It's one thing on a 50lb mountain bike, a whole 'nother with a 250lb dirtbike. Some of the latter get left in the bush till you can get a retrieval team going.
