Anyone can tell?----about Magic Pie

Is there only one producer of the ebike motor Magic Pie? I seem to have seen more than one, maybe even several. Can anyone enlighten me? I am very confused.

As far as I can goldenmotor are produced in china, as well as 99% of all bike motors. The .ca suffix on the url is Canada, I believe. Which means probably they have a warehouse and sales office on this side of the Pacific. Some of the producers have a North American warehouse and office. Many are retreating across the Pacific as trade gets more difficult. For example Leaf, which used to sell on E-bay from LA and when I last checked, was shipping from China.
There is a risk to buying either way. I bought a battery named for major vendor sun e-bike from a LA warehouse on e-bay. I believe I was shipped a reject, which it took me longer than 30 days to prove defective. So I didn't get my money back. Which source is the original with new product and which source is saving rejects and shipping them at a discount is difficult to tell. My vendor was not the cheapest. Even more scary, ***** is the source of vast numbers of counterfeits of major brands like coach & rolex, maybe even bike motors. I don't believe the star ratings on e-bay have anything to do with quality, only with whether the vendor has shipped goods promptly that look like they are as described.

I doubt anybody bothers with counterfeiting small motors. Luxury items, - yes, Ebay is full of fake watches, purses, designer clothes etc.

Cheaper items like motors (also small electronics and all kinds of accessories) - yes, rejects are abundant on Ebay, most sellers do indicate that it is a reject, usually in very-very subtle manner, like "the item might have minor blemishes and/or dust and/or original packaging missing".

Yes, star rating on Ebay is the rating of seller service, not of the actual item.

I've been buying and selling on eBay for 15 or 20 years. Probably have 4,000 transactions, mostly with photography gear but a little with bikes and bike parts. The ratings are pretty accurate. Trust me, if someone has a problem with a buyer they are going to leave feedback that reflects that. Some years ago eBay stopped allowing sellers to leave negative feedback for buyers. I and a lot of others hated this move and I still don't like it, but I can block problem buyers.

I prefer to buy things like bikes on Amazon because Amazon will work with you if you have a problem. eBay may but they are a major PITA to deal with.

I've also been selling on ebay for about 15 years and they essentially treat the old sellers that still want to sell used items like they are totally unwanted. Most buyers think that everyone selling on ebay is the equivalent of a big box retailer like Walmart and they want free returns even for buyers remorse returns. When you say no...they make up something wrong with the item to claim "item not as described." I bend over backwards for nice buyers when there is any issue with something I sell, but many buyers are just scum and will lie to take advantage of small sellers.

I have resold returns that were claimed "not as described" with the original listing and the next buyer is happy and ebay will still do nothing about the fraud clearly done by the original buyer. I can only image that ebay's management is the dumbest of dumb because they really believe they can kill all the small sellers and just become the equivalent of Amazon. They became huge by being the best place to find deals on items you simply can not find in retail stores.
