Another ebike description of thieving Surron riders

Its becoming a bit clear what was going on, it seems the UK government were considering increasing ebike power output and allowing throttle.
This was rejected last week and hey ho, two of our most favourite comedians are in a bbc show touring France on ebikes, on the telly now praising them.
 
Only turn on your phone in a quiet corner in a private place. Then have a private conversation. Never use it in public. Use it less then ten minutes per day, again, only in private. Or you are a zombie nuisance and deserve to be treated as such. The bike part is a big red herring. The phone zombie part is not. Zombies should be treated as zombies.
 
As an absolute early adopter of tech and champion, even builder of the internet.
Im sad to say it needs turning off.

We are destroying peoples mental health on multiple levels in exchange for convenience and most of that convenience is centered on the elites ability to control and fleece you.

It invited the worlds mafia into everyones front room, it has closed down local social structure, it has exposed and led so many people into the darkest recesses of their minds.
We are all walking around filling microseconds of boredom with clickbait and nonsense, we are photographing everything and then altering it to fit the latest social ideal.
We date via a single picture, we dont answer calls from unknown numbers.
Everyone expects instant gratification and praise for utterly mundane presentations of miniscule effort.
we are destroying art, music, literature and the entire foundations of humanity.

But the good news is my new phone has a faster chip.
Yes, Im aware Im a top offender.
 
Happens here as well. There are trails I no longer ride due to the risk of violence. The homeless have set up camps along many of these urban trails due to the lack of police presence. There have been several reported incidents of muggers jamming broom handles in the spokes of passing bikers, throwing them to the ground.

I was nearly a victim myself 2 years ago when I was accosted by a group of drug addicts. Luckily, I was able to get away. I thought about legally carrying a gun after that, but decided it would be safer to just ride elsewhere.

It appears riders on expensive bikes, especially the elderly, have become easy marks for thugs.

What a crying shame.
 
Its a general decay of morality fuelled by numerous factors.
I remember very well New York being turned around by the leaky wig man.
Absolute zero tolerance fo poor peoples crime coupled with nudging the rich to repair their properties asap.
New York became safer on paper than London, which for us native Brits was a giant kick up the jacksy which we soon forgot about and defaulted to..its everyman for themselves, which works quite well, but then suddenly doesnt.

the penny is a bother and all those products that have the 99 cents addendum rather then the whole dollar amount( I get it,it makes the product seem a dollar cheaper than it was) my old employer had a beef with a local restraunt,price of a small cup of coffee was entirely arbitrary and the proprietor had the coffee priced in such a way the customer was always digging deep trying to find the 2 cent tax add on.

I swear, there is no group of people more entitled than the e-moto-pretending-to-be-an-ebike crowd. "Everyone needs to change how things work and enact speed limits and figure out how to enforce them so I can ride my overpowered "ebike" down paths and bike lanes!" :rolleyes:
 
We have to be very careful on Specialized Globe Hauls. If someone wants to buy the bike, fine. The next day they can buy a throttle. But they need to install it themselves. We will not touch that. Moms with cargo kids want the assurance of a throttle when needed or to put a foot down to do a quick U-turn. One way to put a stop to public wheelies on eBikes is to assure the rear brake is on the same side as the handlebar throttle and the throttle side rear brake has a cutout switch that is connected and works. One cannot modulate a wheelie throttle and a rear brake that works with cutout at the same time with one hand.

OK, went to Demon Tweeks cycles so my mate Bri could by his speedbox.
He tasted the extra power and can't live without it, 170 quid, took 2 mins to fit on the Levo, now after being the only illegal rider, now I'm the only legal one.

A brolly through the spokes could bring down a speeding Surron, leaving the theives at the mercy of an enraged umbrella-armed mob who'd rather have their mothers kidnapped than their phones. And you could use the hook end to snatch the snatchers right off the back — with the brolly brigade right there waiting for them.

Of course, busy city sidewalks full of vigilantes armed with sticks would open up a whole new host of problems. But it's fun to imagine.
