notice no peddles???
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it's the lack of quality (cheap!) compared to the ones we had when we were kids. Not a real mini bike and not a real ebike. It's a mini-bike. What's the issue?
Actually it is a real mini bike... like the Taco and Rupp which I and many others had as a kid. 2 of my friends had a Honda 50 and 70cc. Simple does not equate to poor quality and from the photo it looks solid to me. I don't remember a single incident of anyone getting hurt due to a quality issue. Ramping and jumping garbage cans... but then they can sneak up on you and run you overGeez, if I've got to have something like this zooming (non stop) back and forth in front of the house trolling for an accident, I'd MUCH rather it be a quiet electric than some gasser with the muffler removed (to make it faster).
This from sombody that built his first mini bike from scrap parts (lawn mower engine and wheelbarrow wheels/tires) at age 13....
Sorry it just isn't at 24 volts. I had a 50cc at 7 y/o and a 90cc Harley at 12, both had a couple to a few horses. This is a toy and few 13 year olds would be impressed.Actually it is a real mini bike... like the Taco and Rupp which I and many others had as a kid. 2 of my friends had a Honda 50 and 70cc. Well the age is set for liability reasons and as you and I agree most start using these way before 13 years old. And I wouldn't be so quick to judge it's peppy_ness.Sorry it just isn't at 24 volts. Because I read the spec list. SLA batteries, one wheel brake and 250 watt motor.Well the age is set for liability reasons and as you and I agree most start using these way before 13 years old. And I wouldn't be so quick to judge it's peppy_ness.
Anywho what does any of that have to do with your initial comment on quality.
No different than their scooters more than a decade ago...Because I read the spec list. SLA batteries, one wheel brake and 250 watt motor.

Impressed or no, faced with no other (better/faster) options, I think pre and early teens would ride the crap out of something like this. Bring out those jumps and garbage cans! I think that properly geared a 250w motor would be plenty of power on something like this. Maybe not the fastest, but plenty fast enough if you've never had something like this to mess with.Sorry it just isn't at 24 volts.
