I came across this article posted last year on the Colorado Public Radio News website:
http://www.cpr.org/news/story/e-bik...y-ask-if-you-re-ready-for-coloradans-to-sound
There really isn't anything new here except for a public opinion study done by Mary Ann Bonnell. She recruited a group of bikers with "stealthy" e-bikes to ride past hikers on trails in Jefferson County. A series of interviews concluded that even though most didn't recognize the bikes as e-bikes, many were still against them! As a result, she raised this question: ‘If You Can’t Detect It, Is It Really A Problem?’ To me, this signals the fact that, for whatever reason, e-bikes are getting too much bad press.
