Almost ready to go

Will be pulling the trailer with 2 batteries (no battery on the bike itself) in a fairly remote area. Hoping to get 2 days of riding between charges

That is so cool looking, and having the weight behind you has to help a lot.

The trailer pulls easily. I've done test rides with a 50 pound sand bag in the past. With the batteries and camping gear it should be well under that. I'll still have panniers for lighter stuff.

Similar rides in the past I've carried ~3 quarts and never used it all, distances 60-75 miles - including riding a non-ebike. I also carry a water filter and some purification tablets, the chlorine type, not iodine. Iodine purifiers make the water taste bad and it doesn't seem to quench thirst as well either.
I was hoping to go for the last couple weeks but weather hasn't cooperated. Next week temps forecast in the 90s so hoping for more moderate temps week after next.

I was disappointed to find that riding with the battery in the trailer didn't work. I used 10g wire for a extension but there must have been too much of a voltage drop because I repeatedly got a battery protection low voltage error that would cut power for several seconds at a time. At first it was a random occurrence I thought it was due to the Anderson powerpole connectors and changed them all to xt90 but the error and loss of power was still happening although less frequently. Carry the battery on the bike without the extension and this didn't occur. At some point I might pull the wimpy 16g power supply wire to the motor and replace it with 12g.

When you pull the wires can you just replace them all with 10 ga ? And when you used the battery on the bike did you still have the full length of cable, so same drop? Just curious...

10g is pretty thick wire, I'm not sure if it would fit into the motor, under the strain relief and onto the posts due to space constraints. The stock wires seem way too small though.
Without the battery in the trailer I don't use the long connecting cable, only a short extension a few inches long.

Well I'm following this whole wired trailer concept but know next to nothing yet.

I'm using 12 ga wire for my batt connections, but deleted XT90 my battery came with because my solder joints weren't reliable (the factory ones were). My controller had .157" bullet connectors, so I had to use the blue crimp on connectors and peel back and cut off a few strands of 12 ga as blue is only for 14 ga. I use a klein crimp tool. The batt connectors are Dorman .250" insulated flag terminals, reversed sex so I can't plug it in backwards. I've had zero battery dropouts in 7000 miles & 3 1/2 years. My batt wire length length was 6' when I had the controller mounted under the seat and the motor on the front wheel. You see the battery hung off the front basket mount in the picture left. Not a short setup.
