I took the bike in to have it gone over. I told them to put on new tires. They called me back- tire delivery will be April 2022.
They also will replace the back light because it has never blinked.
They also told me they have given me the ability to turn off my lights.

You would expect tires to be in stock. I noticed my rear tire went flat white sitting in the garage. I'll get to that another day.

Take a look at the Schwalbe Marathon E-Plus tires. They are highly rated for Road Grip, Protection, and Durability. 3,500 miles on them with my Allant+ 8s and no flats from small items like glass or stones (one puncture due to large screw). There are also not showing any wear.

They are available on Amazon.

I also had issues with the lights. All of a sudden they would not blink/strobe. Dealer replaced the entire light system, including the harness. That did not correct the problem. They determined that the sensor in the rear taillight was defective. I also had them reprogram the light so I could turn the headlight of and on along with controlling the strobe function.

Just a tip, take a moment and check your rear wheel for cracks around the spokes. My rear wheel failed in about 4 places and needed to be replaced.

what tires have you found?

so you got the 2"? been thinking about going smaller. I am used to 1.5" but I like the smoother ride of the 2.5" OEM tires.

The premium highest rated tire only comes in 2.00 x 27.5. There are 5 other tires in 28 inch. I am very satisfied with the 2" tire. This tire is the highest rated for Road Grip, Protection, and Durability. If you do not go with Schwalbe, at the least get an E-50 rated tire. With a heavy e-bike you want the strongest, most durable tire available.

I have put 14,000 miles on the marathons. they are a harsh ride though. Just got my first flat on the new one one of those sharp pieces of wire. I have a set of hand built wheels from my other bike with the bad bearing I can use on this one they are 700's so more choices of tire just debating on doing it and spending the money for new tires and the parts to do it.

Rechecked tire delivery: Now mid-May.

found a few. I dont think I would want to go to 2" marathons. my 1.5" marathons even with a suspension fork and suspension seat post beat me up. so found these guys to keep the same size

Anyone know the tire circumference for the stock tires? Or, whether it matters to put in a circumference into the cobi.bike app?

Thanks

I’ve been wondering this too. I’ve played with it but noticed nothing. And the next time you have to reboot COBI it goes back to default as does the weight
