I was just wondering if you guys purchased your Freys via Alibaba and if so how much for shipping and was the experience good
or a major headache ?

i have just put my order in for mine, the process was better than ok, it was a case of emailing them, then you set an account on Alibaba and then message chat through that, you can alter what you want on the bike and then they set the order up, i paid half of the money up front and the rest will be paid when the bike is ready, they will send pictures of the bike to make sure your happy, you pay then they ship, shipping only at the minute due to COVID.
the price for shipping was $550 the bike will take up to 3 months to make and a month to ship. they are 7 hours in front of me as i live in the UK

Frey will create a custom invoice for you and have you pay via Alibaba if you want to use credit card. I would recommend doing that as the other options for payment are more expensive and risky. Just be sure to pay with a CC that doesn't have foreign transaction fees.

I would say Frey's support is not as good as I would have hoped. The language barrier is an issue. And they don't seem to invest enough time responding to issues. Given how much they have grown they really need a dedicated support team and it seems everything is handled one off and there is not enough attention to detail. Can be frustrating. For example, my throttle stopped working. They said check the throttle connections. I send a picture of 3 cables asking which was throttle. They said unplug them and see. WTF kind of half assed response is that??? Any support staff worth their salt would say the throttle is the one that is green inside when unplugged. I actually got better support asking my question on the ES forum. Someone replied back that it's likely a short in the cable, which after pressing around I figured out was the issue after a bit of investigation.

If I could do it over again, I would still order from Frey, but only because it was the bike for me (nobody else has a full suspension Ultra mid step with rack). If Watt Wagons had something like that I would spend the extra money for the superior controller and world class service.

And now you have your bike. 3 months and 11 days. Actually that is not bad at all. Custom order from the other side of the world, language barrier, shipping abnormalities and covid. All overcome in just over three months. Not bad at all. 👍 :p;)

And now you have a super bike the likes of which if purchased from a dealer ( IF that were even possible ) no doubt would cost you double what you paid.
