Advise wanted.

So I'm looking for a bike with the range to go 60 miles (97 km) round trip every day on a single charge with moderate hills in some of the trip. Paved road.
On the weekends I want to hit the trails with my SO she too would need a bike.

So this thread I could put all of my considerations into this single thread but I'll stick to just the bike for me.

The bike should be torque sensing.
The bike should fit me at 6'2" (188 cm)

Nice to haves would be.
Smart torque adjustment (i don't need to fiddle with it)
Automatic gear selection on the cassette
a front selection of gears for the road, I've noticed that many mid-drives don't have them.
Full front and rear suspension
Wide tires.

I am considering that I might need two different bikes.
If one bike can do more I would spend far more on it. However two bikes would have the benefit that I'll not be wearing out my road bike with mud and dirt from the trails.

I went to one local shop so far and they suggested the Specialized Turbo Levo.

This is going to be a tough one. It depends on your commute speed and weight.
Better to keep an extra charger at office or your destination.

Enviolo Harmony Automatic is the only one that does automatic shifting for you, every other system requires you to press a button or a lever to change the gears.

Have you ridden an E-bike for more than an hour?

I highly recommend renting one for a day. After that experience, many of your requirements may change.

I'll see if I can find a place to rent one.

The more I think about it the more I'm leaning to getting one bike as a commuter with high range and one for trails and spending time with family.

The road bike is what I would want the automatic shifting for. Stop and go traffic ect.

I have a Turbo Levo. It is made for the trails and rough gravel roads. Check out the EMBT forum website if you decide to go with a mountain bike.

I just tried out a levo at a shop. I didn't have time for a lot of riding. But I like the smoothness of the bike. I'm on my phone writing this. I'll post more when I get home.

I don't need auto shifting. Manual shifting was smooth.
having a single front gear seemed fine to me.

Can you guys suggest any models I should look for and test ride?
Commuter bike takes priority.

Great idea Ravi. Renting, if possible, allows for more evaluation than a test ride.

I suggest you test ride a Riese & Muller Delight GX Rolhloff HS. It can be configured with 2 batteries for a top range of up to 120 miles depending on how much assist you use. It has a full suspension but comes with fenders, a very functional, strong, integrated rack, excellent lights (front high/low beam, tail and brake light). The Rohloff is electronically shifted and automatically returns to your chosen start gear at every stop, not fully automatic though) It is carbon fiber belt driven so no chain maintenance. It would serve both road and trail quite nicely.

There is a Pedego dealer near by, I'm going to go check them out in a week or so. What should I look for?
