A2B Metro charging issue

Bought a used A2B Metro but the charger just flashes red and green regardless of it being plugged in or not. Anyone have any idea why? This is my first e-bike so I'm kinda new to this but so have electronic know how. I'm just not sure where to start. It also does not show any lights by the throttle. Any help would be hugely appreciated!!

When you say plugged in are you plugged into the bikes battery with the charger unplugged and still get lights?
Do you have a multimeter to test the charger and battery?

If I plug the charger into the wall, and then plug charger into battery, it just still flashes. Even if I plug it in the opposite way, still just flashes. Even when the bike is not connected to the charger, and I just plug the charger into the wall, the charger still just flashes red/green.

Have you tried the manual? It has some pretty clear instructions and discussing checking the charger.

Test the charger output with a multimeter. Have you ever ridden the bike? What is the battery state of charge, voltage out?

Oh wow, thanks for the links! I wasn't having much luck last night finding anything. I just noticed the tip of the charger plug was missing a screw so I took the other one out to see if any wires were loose and was met with this: https://send.firefox.com/download/9d0547a88bedd550/#-R2KYTzH1xMbdlmI8m9w0Q

Although I'm not sure if the wiring was connected correctly, It looks as if it's been resoldered. What do you think?

Definitely a bad solder job, which could be the problem!

I tested the output voltage like you mentioned of the XLR lug with a multimeter and I got this, basically a constant fluctuation. Why its doing that I have no idea. Any suggestions?

Since you're not using an auto-ranging multimeter, try the 200 DCV settings, not the 20VDC
A bad solder joint can do that.

Ok thabks,. Yeah that was my fault. I was making sure my meter was working by testing a AA battery first and forgot to change it back.

So...what was the voltage?

Have someone competent desolder and resolder the connector for a starter.
