a warm bed and shower stuff

We see a fair number of these cruising around Seattle. My wife calls them 'prepper vans'. Usually blacked out or at most charcoal and black.

I know we're less than an hour drive from where they might serve a purpose, but I still wonder about the folks just commuting to work in one complete with shovel and jerry can mounted on the back.
Saw a couple of similar but none with that kind of lift or snorkel. The AWD would just be for winter/rocky road/ muddy conditions. Love our truck but it’s a it more work to lift bikes into than I prefer, and Father Time is only going to continue to make things harder.🥵
Hey, I’d be very happy with a hybrid version!

Not familiar with a Solis, but you definitely must use it a lot to save anything over even medium priced motels. I save more on restaurants and air fare than on motels, but then, I am a better cook than most restaurants. And flying is completely out for me.
Edit private campgrounds are often more expensive than cheap motels today .😥
Below is a detailed video review of the Winni Solis PX. The gear garage is a great way of stowing bikes while on the road.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly with respect to the cassette toilet. Not sure if there are many B Class RVs that come equipped with gravity flushers though.

Most in the USA do, not so much in Europe. Actually over here, most have maceration pumps to empty the tanks even slightly uphill. I could empty into a porta potty in an emergency, they say.
Mine, like most classBs, has what is called a "wet bath" or "navy shower".
Visualize a standard shower stall with a tiny sink on one side and a toilet on the other. No need to move your feet to use any of them.

I didn't watch the entire video, but did they mention a price? Was it 1 arm and 1 leg, or 2 legs? Lot of nice ideas in there though...
Consider growing some extra limbs if you look at new campervans. Prices are as high as condos in cheap real estate markets. However, they do depreciate like eBikes in only a few years.

A quick story about my only pop top van ... an early 70s VW Westfalia .
I bought it very used to take my young family down through the Great Smokies... the theory was my wife and I would sleep on the sofa bed and my girls would sleep up under the pop top.
After a few nights my youngest ( maybe 4 Y/O) thrashed around in her sleep and kicked the support out of the pop top, it colapsed, trapping both her and her sister under it.
No injuries or damages, but my wife and I had to sleep up top on a child sized mattress for the next week. 😄
