A and B trip odometers

I am just wondering about the trip odometers on the Aventure.2. On the A and B trip odometers, I see the "A" odometer maintains the info until I reset it from the display. The "B" odometer on the other hand, resets or clears at power down. I did notice today after running about 20 miles and stopped back at the car, the "B" odometer matched the "A" odometer EXCEPT for my average speed of which indicated zero. Is this normal?

I've seen weird things like that (but to be fair, I did not realize that B auto reset). I don't use those pages at all, I just record the rides with something else. These days I use one of the specialized apps because I also have a Specialized ebike.
