Wanted to post this as I notice in some responses people saying the new E hubs are not rated for this much power. My Evelo Aurora is equipped with this new hub system and electronic shifting and it is Very Powerful and climbs hills with ease. R&M is using the new redesigned hubs on their new bikes now and they are even higher torque.
The complete ease of shifting and huge assist with no noise or gears exposed makes these a huge step forward in E bike technology in my opinion. My old bike has the manual shift and I sure don't miss it. I have also ridden with no power on flats and don't really notice any drag or resistance to speak of. On hills you do need power though.

I'd love to have something like that to play with, but there's no way my priorities would allow for a budget to afford something like that. I do appreciate the technology involved.

I know what you mean, I looked for months and. months before finally making the decision to purchase my first bike a hard decision to make with the cost involved. As it turned out I purchased a model that didn't work out for me due to the top tube configuration, had a difficult time getting off of the bike, my right leg didn't swing high enough and kept catching the rack and bag so I decided to return it. Fortunately I purchased from a very reputable company and sending it back was no problem whatsoever, they even had Fed Ex pick it up no charge.
It was a bike that was discounted by 700 dollars and the step thru above it was not on sale, but they offered the Aurora to me at the same discounted price as the lower model and shipped it no cost and still offered the 14 day trial with return shipping paid, so I couldn't pass it up and now am very glad I didn't. Love my new bike and it is a pleasure to ride with so much kick.
I know some don't like them but I love the auto Enviolo hub, mine has the electronic shifting so just a touch literally changes gear ratios and it breezes up steep hills, you don't even need to pedal if you don't care to, throttle only will top you out.
Also they offer no interest payments over a year period which helps with the budget. I used it and then after a month paid it off. Easy way to got though......
