New to EBR and to ebikes

Brand new member of EBR! Experienced road and tandem biker, for exercise and touring. Approaching 70 this year, and decided I need some help climbing the local hills, so I just bought my first ebike, a used Yamaha Civante (small). I've skimmed thru the forums, lots of ideas and advice, looking forward to learning more. Thanks!

Nice bike Tony, and welcome to the Forum. Where are you located?

Carroll County, MD. About 50 miles north of DC, West of Baltimore. Most riding is on local roads, occasionally on the C&O Canal towpath, the North Central Rail Trail, etc. A small number of bike tours per year (on tandem with my wife). In 2025: Norway, Italy->Spain; maybe the Great Allegheny Passage/C&O.
