How could I forget the two most important accessories? You need a brother to keep you in good company too. It’s always better when shared. Lol

One thing I forgot to put up when I put the “shock pump” up is how to adjust it properly. I have mine set to around 95-97 PSI. You also have to set the PSI on the negative end to the same, the valve is on the underside of the same fork. I also have the rebound in the centre, maybe a couple of clicks to the + side and it seems to be just right for general knocking about. If it feels a bit “saggy” give it a few more clicks to the + side. If it feels “bouncy” set it more to the - side. If your heavier you may need to put some more air in it. I’d guess 105 PSI should be near the max you’ll need. The + & - need to be equal or it’ll feel strange.

I'm just glad you didn't mention the brand of bike shorts you wear ... oh wait, you did!

I was gonna go true Scotsman but I don’t fancy getting my bits tangled in the belt! Wouldn’t be nice!! Lol

Yeah, you should see what the belt drive did to my jeans. On a related topic, what's with Haggis ... you people actually eat that!?

Hey, thank you so much for the recommendation

Oh yes, Black pudding too! That stuff’ll put hairs on your chest buddy! Belt drives eat jeans, we eat haggis and black pudding.... what’s strange about that. Lol
The older generation eat tripe! Now that’s just dead weird! 😁

Ok, 800 miles in for the MD 1000 and these are my favorite accessories in order of delivered value (the bike came with front & rear rack and fenders):

- 3rd battery from Leili for long range riding ($400)

- SUNTOUR SP12-NCX suspension seatpost with extra red spring ($100)

- Ergon GP 5 grips ($80)

- Tannus Armor Tire Inserts 4.0-4.8 and 3.25" tubes ($150 for 2)

I have added several small items like these rack straps and these battery retention straps.

Hi Terry, can you add a picture of the valve on the underside of the same fork. I thought there was only one valve to attach the shock pump too

I meant to go back and edit that. I noticed that after the fact. Too many MD threads for my empty head to keep up with. Lol

I thought the Renegade fork would have both as it doesn’t seem to be what you’d call a “cheap” fork. It’s only a single end adjust though. 😳
Maybe newer tech or maybe it is below the threshold of “decent” quality. I dunno.

There is only a nipple on the top to clarify bro. Well spotted! 👍

I dont have much experience with air forks but I read the more premium ones have only one air stem hence one fork has air and the compression/rebound is on the other fork. apparently its more reliable that way? I am going to set sag at 15% of total travel. So about 18 mm. Ill let you know how that goes. Right now I have 25mm and I bottom out to easily

So newer tech than I’m used too. I feel old! Lol

Used to be the high end ones had a + & - air intake. You could set them up depending how you were using them. For how our bikes are you’d have them equal. Pro riders would play depending. Makes sense I suppose, less is more with everything now. 🙂

Here’s a link to another accessories thread on the forum. May be some thing that would be helpful to any of you.

If you haven't had your bottom battery fall out, you probably will especially if you remove/install your batteries frequently like I do. How about these for dual battery security?

For anyone in the USA who is going to purchase Tannus inserts I just saw a code for 20% off which is quite a good saving.
Code:- RYANLxTANNUS (found on the YouTube channel Ebike Escape)
