3rd broken spoke in two months. Specialized Como

Have had the bike right at a year. Broke the 1st spoke two months ago. Shop fixed it for free. Broke the 2nd spoke last month. Shop informed me this is not a warranty issue, but, they fixed it for free. Today, while cleaning up the bike I noticed number 3 is broken.
 
Something isn’t right with your wheel. It probably came with the wheel improperly tensioned. I had a trek road bike where I had broken spokes ride after ride. Turns out the bike was shipped with overly tightened spokes. I tend to do a lot of upgrading so I ended up having wheels costume built with a better rim. The techs at the shop where I bought the bike weren’t able to diagnose the problem because they didn’t have the skill to build wheels. Sounds to me like you have a warranty issue and a shop with techs who can’t build wheels properly. It’s actually common for new bikes to come with improperly tensioned wheels. They use robots to build the wheels on mass produced bikes and they tend to over tighten.
 
Had no problem for 10 months. I don't have a lot of confidence in the skill of my bike shop. I don't mind paying to get it fixed, just want it done right. I am getting tired of taking it in every week for another broken spoke.
 
Find someone near you who really knows how to build wheel. Your bike shop probably messed with the tension when they fixed the first spoke.
 
Contact Giant if they have a resource. This is definitely a build problem unless you're a hard riding off-road rider. The first incident and second it seems were IN the warranty period and demonstrate an issue with the wheel build. I have NEVER broken, or have had any hub motor customer or friend have a spoke failure on a recreational/commuter bike. Not sure what you states consumer division does for its citizens, but some are very proactive in assisting with warranty issues. The entire wheel would be best served by a complete rebuild.

All our riding is on paved trails. But, I'm a big guy. At 290 lbs I'm putting a lot of stress on the spokes. Should I have them replace the spokes or the wheel?

That's NOT a reason for them to fail. I load significantly more on my grocery hauler with me. NEVER a spoke problem. I'd have a good wheel builder use the current wheel IF it's a high-quality double wall. I would think it would be. I'm still on the side of a bad build. It'd be interesting to know which spokes, and spoke size as well as the brand/style rim used.

Not uncommon, if one breaks there's oft another one cracked & ready to go. What # spoke?

This sounds like an issue I had with improperly laced spokes that eventually, (after boocoo busted spokes),
wore out the spoke bores rendering that motor useless,(for a bike anyway, I might make an electric halibut reel
out of it.)
