2022 Turbo Vado SL - Specs?

Ouch. it is a not a1n 11-50 but a 10-44 or 10-45. Next time I get the wheel off I will count teeth - but definitely not a 50.
So I should be ten percent faster for the same cadence in my highest gear..... and therefore be able to coast up the walls I thought I could climb with the 50 I don't actually have. I'm still happy.
But embarrassed. (I've got a Shimano Deore derailleur. Some builds come with a Sram Eagle - and that can include an 11-50T)
The mystery has been already solved: There exist two different large Deore XT sets of matching 12-speed cassette and derailleur: the cassette can be either 10-45t (Vado SL 5.0) or 10-51t (premium e-MTBs). The derailleurs are different, too, even if both are part of Deore XT groupset.

The interesting fact is the rear hub needs no special driver when the smallest cog is 11t but such a driver is necessary with 10t cog. For that reason the 12-speed 11t SRAM cassette is mounted on a simpler hub than the 10t Shimano is.

@Rás Cnoic here has "mountainized" his Vado SL by swapping the chainring for a 38T one.

...greed...
Nah.
I spoke with a Brand Store manager. He told me people would be surprised how much the cargo costs went up, and that can be especially seen with prices of relatively inexpensive traditional bikes. Add to it the new display, and the price increase is justified.

Everything's getting expensive nowadays.
