2020 Rize review and thoughts

Hi guys, just today I got a delivery of a Rize street bike. After a couple of hours of fiddling with the supplied wrenches I finally put it outside and I can tell you this this is the best purchase I have made this year after the OLED Tv. I am pushing 60 and after this COVID BS I am about 220 pounds so I got to slim down a bit and this was the whole idea of getting on a an e-bike. The machine is great. The fit and finish, the workmanship, the assembly is top notch. Honestly I do not think that Ries & Mueller is better. I really like the hydraulic brakes. I think in a city it is a must. Some reviewers have complained of the noise the e-motor have made. Maybe it was the noise factor but I have not notice it at all. After my first 50 km ride the battery bar dropped only by one bar and this is with all the lazy throttle starts. I drove thought the streets and through the parks with the gravel walkways and never noticed any difference in traction, so I honestly think the fat tires is just a fashion of a season. There was a reviewer here from Quebec who mentioned an unlock of a speed limit. I would be enormously grateful if someone would share a step by step direction of how to do this. The only complaint I have for now is the seat. I drove to the Walmart and bought a wide and comfortable seat but it does not fit to the stem! I do not know if this can be fixed with a some kind of an adapter. Oh by the way I have ordered a rear view mirror with this bike. This is a waste of money , do not do this. All you can see is your arm and no traffic. Please blame all the spelling mistakes to the google speech to text.

An update. On the second day of riding the front brakes start to make an ugly noise and vibrate. Feels like the the pads wear out. I checked them out and they look OK. Have to investigate.
