2015 specialized turbo s HELP boston area

I have a 2015 specialized turbo s. At startup, the first light blinks on the battery, indicating a motor issue. There is no power to to motor when i ride. LBS ran diagnostic and said battery is good but no other information about root cause. They've been working with specialized rep to diagnose but have no clue. Current recommendation is to just start replacing parts one by one (wiring harness, battery, then motor) until its fixed. Its hard to believe they are no able to diagnose what seems to be a basic issue. Also, seems like the easiest path would be to swap rear wheel and battery and see if it fixes it, but LBS and specialized has no spares.
Any recommendation on what this might be?

also, is there anyone in the boston area that has a compatible bike that would let me drive over and swap wheel/battery and see if it fixes it?

also, anyone have parts, like battery or rear wheel that they want to get rid of?

thanks!

sean

The 2015 S did not have the Bluetooth enabled battery and motor so diagnostic is harder. I used to remove the battery every commute to charge it at my desk at work for the ride home. Eventually I needed to replace the Rosenberger connector in the battery compartment. The bike would start normally but I would hit a bump and suddenly I would have no power. I could remove the battery and reinstall it to get it to work for a while. Do the front and tail lights still work or any other anomalies?

Just came across a recall on some older Specialized ebikes batteries, I can't link so search for "recall" in the title.

The recall is for Specialized first-generation 2016-2018 model year Turbo Levo FSR, 2018-2021 model year Turbo Levo HT, and 2018-2019 model year Turbo Kenevo FSR. The issue is for a leak around the LED control pad which the 2015 Turbo S does not have. They are not related to the Turbo S with a Swiss Go hub motor.

Will the bluetooth battery give me more diagnostic capability for the motor? Lights work and the seating of the battery was checked.

It allows a user to check the health of the battery without needing the LBS to use their Specialized software. Even though my battery was seating, there was some wear in the high power pins of the connector that caused intermittent problems that matched some posts in this forum. In my case the startup sequence always completed without an error indication.

edit found an old post in the forum with a link to the Specialized troubleshooting chart which is still good for a 2015 model:

Yea all that chart says is to swap parts and see if it fixes it

Does anyone have creative way to test these components? Is there a pinout diagram for the different connectors or wiring harness?

I did a few more things to diagnose.
-I used multimeter to do continuity test on the wiring harness (between the Rosenberg connector where the battery connects and the plug to the motor. All 3 pins pass, so the wiring harness isn’t the issue
-I used multimeter to test voltage. outer pins show 40V so battery provides power
-realized that the display does not show speed when I’m moving. This, combined with motor not turning on, makes me pretty confident that its the sensor in the motor.

Does anyone have any information on whether this part is known to fail or any comments on diagnosis so far?

I had a sensor failure in that the motor would not stop providing power when I quit peddling until I tapped the right brake. I was able to get a replacement motor at the time but I think the OE manufacturer GoSwiss has gone out of business and the Euro rebuilders have stopped as well. Searching for GoSwiss might find info on similar motors. Isn't there wiring from the right brake too? The only other unlikely place to look is make sure the wiring to the handle bar control unit is good. I moved the light from center to a front rack and extended the light cable. I'd made a bad connection and I recalled it would not start.
