Just looking over some pics from the Bionx Facebook page from Eurobike 2014
Came across Bionx's new fatbike codenamed "Night Crawler" thats fitted with a Bionx D 500 motor.

Here are some pics...

Looks good minus all the yellowish-green accents, still no ETA on it.

It also looks like Norco will be releasing the first 2015 Bionx official fatbike sometime in the fall code named "Bigfoot E"

What do you guys think of these Bionx Fatbikes?

I also think they should offer an all wheel drive option.

I think combining fatbike with ebike is a natural progression for a vehicle where pushing an oversized tire through slow terrain (snow, sand, mud) requires much more human power than a conventional bicycle under normal conditions.

That dual 500 watt x 10 kw HPC Bigfoot manages to look under powered in the dunes, I'm sure it is a hang on for life fun ride, just lacking motocycle scale parts and suspension. I'd love to see a 250cc running next to it, powering into the same slopes.

Put that kind of power in a cafe style e-motocycle, closed course, couple of friends and I'm all in. Nice to see the D series units are moving. -S

BionX D series motor is a true performer. VERY strong acceleration compared to Stromer ST1 platinum or Spl Turbo.
The nominal torque is 25Nm and the peak torque is 50Nm (Stromer's ultramotor specs out at 9Nm nominal and 40Nm peak).
The extra torque can be felt at all pedal assist levels.
There is a fat bike with D series motor by OHM which I really liked. The ride was super smooth. I'll post pics later but here is the link

Nice product lineup, kudos to them (ohm) for detailed specs, like motor weight - still don't know what a currie e-drive weighs. AND.. nice components available.

Looks great. I wonder how much wider you can get with the tires? 3.2 is not that fat these days.

46 lbs is great for eFatBike

Vee Rubber on the OHM was set at lower PSI, so it was very cushy with great traction.
The normal spec for fat bikes these days = Schwalbe Jumo Jim (26" x 4.0")
I had a discussion with Michael of OHM cycles and his stance was that spec'ing out with top notch components/tires would push the price limit beyond 5K and the market beyond 5K is very niche and very localized.

I think Haibike Fat six and LemowskE also comes with Schwalbe Jumbo Jim but they retail at $5600 plus.

I am getting the LebowskE (Ravi, you should watch the movie :) ) as my first fatbike. I can amortize the purchase as I'm a full time commuter. I need dependability and warranty for my 'go to workhorse' but after that I would not mind experimenting a little with BionX or similar FatBike configuration.

Izip E3 Sumo is a cool bike. Larry was very excited about it :)
Currie is still tweaking out certain parameters and MSRP ~ $4.5 and should be out by early 2015.
Same TranzX drive train like E3 peak (so much better handling).

The eBike dude abides :D
LebowskE is a terrific bike and you would be very happy, no doubt.

Any rumors on the 2017 BigFoot E. Guessing the G3 display and control. Battery shape. What to pull the trigger on one now. Wondering on updates.
