My frame has arrived and I’m shopping for parts.

There is a good deal on a 160mm fork but my frame is for 150mm

There is a very similar frame (I suspect the same despite the claimed measurements) that’s says 150/160mm fork.

Is it a bad idea to put a 160mm fork on the FM MD17 frame?

Advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm no expert... but those numbers seem to be representing suspension full travel.
Then in my opinion it doesn't matter as they are adjustable anyway.

This is all new to me. I would just buy 150mm but a 160mm Zeb is available nearby.

Ask the fork supplier? They should know.
Your talking less than 1/2" and again suspension travel not over all or fitment.
I think wheel, axle, steer tube and brakes, must match what you are building.

The fork is from a private seller on eBay. He wants a fork with less travel.

Wheels are 29er, brakes Hope V4 and axle should have cone with the frame.
