No ebike is perfect, this is a thread dedicated to sharing known issues or problems with electric bikes from Piaggio Wi-Bike as well as any help and solutions you know of. Sometimes that means a DIY fix and other times it can mean a recall, software update or part replacement by a dealer.

Please be respectful and constructive with feedback, this is not a space for hate speech. In many cases, representatives from the company will see feedback and use it to improve their product. In the end, the goal is to enjoy riding and help each other go further and be safer.

Crickets chirping..... Too new or too brilliant.

A good mix of both! :)

We've been selling these since August and are up to approximately 20 on the road, with no issues to report. Our demo models have seen about 300 rides each and have performed flawlessly.

One of our riders just passed the 1000 mile mark on his Wi-Bike Active!

I've got to think that Piaggio is in discussions with Gates to promptly provide a successful replacement to the failed (and now unsupported) Continental drive belt product. I'm seriously thinking of buying a Nuvinci-equipped model in early 2019 (of course, only IF this situation resolves by then). Could I request that anyone attending Interbike Reno this month relay whatever they might learn about this issue? Thanks very much.
