1/3 Ebike

Hi, the last few years i enjoyed a 26x4.8 fatbike (FatBoy 2017) for our 4 winter months and a 29x2.3 HardTail the other 8 months.
I live in Montreal, Quebec. Just before Xmas i had the luck to find a great deal on an unsold Ebike so now 1 of my 3 bikes is assisted.
Our fat season is ending so i will enjoy my Haibike 2017 Sduro hardseven 6.0 wich has 27.5 x 3.0 tires, a 500 Wh battery and a 120 mm fork.
I will surely read here to learn and ask questions.

You probably experienced that many have a negative idea about Ebikes.
No i did not buy 1 because i am overweight wich i am not nor because i turned 61.
The main reason is i do not have a car and i want to spend hours in the wood playing in nice trails
not just lots of time pedaling to the trails and back.
If you ride a bit north of Montreal we might ride together.

Welcome to the site and the electric side of the hobby.
You won't find much negative sentiment about e-bikes on this site. Much of the sentiment comes from the rudeness of food delivery contractors in large cities, especially on sidewalks and running traffic signals. Other nay-sayers are extremely healthy young men proving their manhood. I'm age 68, and fighting the wind for double my normal self powered excursion time is too long. Boo, global warming. I've also given up the car addiction so common in north America.
