    Turbo Rosenberger plug

Oh, the flickering on my bike stops if I turn it on during charging.

    Turbo Rosenberger plug

Why do you remove the battery? Are you obligated to park it outside, or you have to go upstairs to charge it, or ??

Vado 3.0: Worn out cassette after 450 miles

LOL if that were my bike, that would be the cleanest chainring in my bike barn.

    Turbo (hub drive) metallic sound?

Mikes Bikes in Berkeley is also the shop that solved this problem for me. Their mechanics seem to be OK on Turbo problems.

Vado 3.0: Worn out cassette after 450 miles

You've met one now. I live at about 250m above sea level and I climb that on the way home every time. No worries at all with the base model Turbo hub motor and the smallest battery.

    Turbo (hub drive) metallic sound?

Yes, this sounds very much like my freehub noise. I took it to the shop and they fixed it. I'm not sure exactly how. They said they lubricated the freehub. Since that doesn't square with my understanding of how a freehub is constructed, I remain confused. Nevertheless, my Turbo is now...

Vado 3.0: Worn out cassette after 450 miles

This is the inherent problem with mid-drive electrics. Bike chains and gears are designed for people, and these new bikes are tripling the force. Hub drive forever!

    What's your maintenance routine?

I'm currently using a Shimano RT86 rotor, M8000 caliper, and H01A resin pads. The combination is totally silent.

3 Times World Champ Vs 2 Times Knee Replacement

That is a great ad. The hill in the video is De Haro Street, between 19th and 20th, in San Francisco, California, USA. It's a 19% monster. https://www.google.com/maps/@37.7610692,-122.4012162,3a,75y,176.25h,80.36t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sD8_W8IxKyq85eWvnA7fcOg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

    What's your maintenance routine?

On the mid drives, checking the chain wear is much more important. On the hub drives your chain wear should be normal (you will get > 5000 km from a quality chain). I used to have a 7-mile off-road trip to work each day and in those days I had to clean and oil the chain constantly. These days...

Turbo Owners -- What's your total mileage? [OFFICIAL MILEAGE THREAD]

Same symptom for me. A kind of creaking sound that disappears after backpedal and comes back after a moment. They said they lubricated the freewheel. I dunno but it’s silent now.

Turbo Owners -- What's your total mileage? [OFFICIAL MILEAGE THREAD]

19000km! Nice work. Mine just rolled 4000 miles. I replaced the bb, cranks, chainwheels, chain, both brakes, and serviced the freehub. Running clean and quiet now, no worries at all.

    Brake master cylinder squeak

I finally got around to swapping in Deore XT M8000 brakes on my Turbo and I am so happy. It got rid of that damned squeaking sound that the Formula master cylinders make when you release them. Yay.

Upgrading chainring and bottom bracket. My experience.

I changed my BB and chainring with a Praxis Zayante M30 direct-mount 42T. I wish I'd changed to a 42T a long time ago! Now I can actually use my 11T sprocket that was never needed with the 48T.

Upgrading chainring and bottom bracket. My experience.

Thanks. I wish they were not equally prominent in the catalog.

Upgrading chainring and bottom bracket. My experience.

I need to replace my bottom bracket. It is very rough. When you were ordering parts did you get the 68mm or the 70mm? I can't find any literature on this. I am thinking of getting a SRAM and a new SRAM Rival 1 crankset and chainring.

    4000 miles - 6400 km on Turbo S

My Turbo just hit 4000 miles and I'm thinking of changing the chain and cassette. I'm surprised you already had to change yours twice. What kind of wear did it show when you measured it (if you did)? Mine shows > 0.5% and < 0.75% on a wear gauge. It is starting to skip sometimes.

    Disc brake pad life?

I just replaced my metallic JagWire pads after about 1000 miles on the front. They have a lot of wear left compared with the specification for minimum thickness. Unfortunately they have to be replaced with plenty of material remaining because the brake lever comes all the way in, so the system...

    Longest Single Ride Yet!

There are caveats. This only works if you pedal at least a little bit. For example if you just put the bike on the stand and hold the stick up, it does nothing. Actually it turns the motor off and doesn't work right again until you press the stick down. Also, the power delivery in this mode...

How to actually change settings on Turbo?

I just wanted to change the backlight setting, but it turns out my backlight doesn't work.
