    Heavy Rider, need suggestions

For those interested, I've decided to go with the Velotric Discover 3. I'd ideally swap out the swept back handlebars for straighter ones, but I can live with that as it checks basically every other box. The struggle I have now is whether to buy it from a local shop or from Velotric directly...

    Heavy Rider, need suggestions

I guess I just prefer the step-over look/feel. I'm used to riding bikes with a top tube. The best I test rode were all step-throughs and didn't notice any issues, but I guess it's just a preference? There is a shop in town that services all ebikes under 1000W so yes. Even if they can't, there's...

    Heavy Rider, need suggestions

For those interested, I just test rode the Euphree Stellar Falcon 2.0 and the Velotric Summit 2. I also test rode a Velotric Discover M, but realized mid-drive bikes are probably not what I'm looking for. Unfortunately, I can't decide which I prefer as both have pros/cons that cancel each other...

BE AWARE-IF YOU WANT TO BUY AN AVENTON

As someone that's been looking at the Level 4 REC as my first e-bike, Aventon's reliability on tech/network connection has me concerned. I appreciate you sharing your experience! I may have to go forward with Velotric or Euphree based on my research.

    Heavy Rider, need suggestions

Yes, I've seen the Nomad 2X as an option. However, I'd like to not have a fat tire bike if at all possible. 4"+ tires make the bike feel incredibly heavy and that's not what I'm looking for, especially in a bike I'll be using as a commuter or a recreational bike.

Great feedback/suggestions! If I don't like the saddle the bike comes with, I'll probably take the one off my current bike. I'll definitely need to figure out how to mount a backpack to the rear rack as I'd rather not wear it when commuting, but otherwise everything else should be easy to figure...

    Heavy Rider, need suggestions

Update! After arguably WAY too much research, I've narrowed down my list to 4 bikes: Velotric Summit 2 Ride1up Vorsa Mokwheel Tarmac Euphree Stellar Falcon 2 I like all of these for numerous reasons, but each stands out in different features/specs. I plan on test riding the Summit 2, Tarmac...

    Heavy Rider, need suggestions

I test rode an Aventon Level 3, Aventon Avenutre (hub drive), a Segway ebike (didn't know the name and the rep wasn't familiar either), and a Velotric Discover 3. Out of those, I liked the Level 3 the best. The Aventure felt too heavy (same with the Segway) and they had fatter tires.

    Heavy Rider, need suggestions

The Summit is appealing, but having to pay extra for fenders and a rack make it less appealing than other options I've found. I'd prefer to stay away from cargo bikes since I'd like the feel to be like my a standard bike (high-step, no additional framing, 26"+ wheels, etc.)

    Heavy Rider, need suggestions

Hello all! I am looking to buy my first ebike to use as a recreational ride as well a commuter bike for when I move in the fall. My commute is expected to be about 10 miles one way at most (any further and I'd drive), but my biggest concern is finding a bike that can handle my current weight...
