Looks like you
Looks like you're reorganizing your controls on the handlebar. I *really* don't want to do that on this bike as it's barely usable to reach the controlled as it is.
Given the backwards slant of the handlebars for the Evelo bikes, I've found each in-handle rearview mirror I've tried so far does not give me a good angle for rear view.
I tried these and these. I just ordered these as another attempt.
Does anyone have a recommendation that would work? There...
I did see the e-coast. What I like about the current is: mid-drive, integrated battery, belt, and torque sensor.
The e-coast has non-integrated battery and hub drive, so it's out for me.
Yes, the Omega is more powerful and has a more advanced motor and has a throttle, but I would be willing to sacrifice these advantages if the Current could be outfitted with a more comfy tire for the money, but I think the 47mm tire is the widest it can field.
I like just about everything about the Current except I would like to see a wider tire (more like 2.3-2.8).
That has me liking the Evelo Omega more, but it's 2x the price...
Thanks for the feedback -- it does make purchasing a used bike more daunting unless I assume that I will need to replace the battery and factor that into the price.
I'm thinking about getting a used e-bike for my wife (maybe a Giant Lafree E+1), but I'm not sure how to think about the lifespan of the batteries on one of these bikes.
When I do some basic googling, I seem to find "they live 3-5 years" and the E+1 (for example) is a 3-4 year old bike...
Looks like all of the Currents in Costco next are coming up out of stock... anyone heard a whisper of a resupply or some change in the Current product line?
Looks like on the Priority site they still have stock on Currents...
AFAIK, they never did that for the Level, and I would expect that Yesterday's Weather is the best indicator of whether they will do this for the Aventure.
It always sucks to be the person who got the last prior-get model off the line...
Looks like Aventon just dropped the Aventure.2 with torque sensor. This just shifted into a viable option for my wife, but I'd love to hear how people find the torque on it.
Anyone ordered already?
