Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

You might have to speak nicely to your retailer, maybe a bribe with a few beers :) - but If you say it is only used on off-road private bike tracks I don't see why it cant be changed?

    Turbo Como 5.0 IGH 2023

Hi - my retailer fitted the Abus 4750XL Pro Amparo NR. This size fits a wider wheel and it can also be used with a lock adaptor chain which is sold separately. It may be possible to fit the slightly small L size ( I have seen someone here mention it). The key is removable (I believe some have a...

Specialized Vado 5.0 IGH Cadence Survey

Yep - a brain fart on my side. You guys are right. I haven't noticed any difference but the logic would indicate there should be

Specialized Vado 5.0 IGH Cadence Survey

Going from a 24T down to a slightly smaller cog at the back means your get slightly more power transferred to the wheel - so you should find hills a bit easier (maybe 8-10%??)

Specialized Vado 5.0 IGH Cadence Survey

As previously mentioned - once I changed out the rear cog to a 22t I can get up to 45kph with a cadence or around 80rpm

If you hear anything more - let us know as having a lower RPM is useful in some situations

Specialized Vado 5.0 IGH Cadence Survey

I ride a Como 5 - yes, only if you change the pedal pace on the bike's remote controller then this will obviously over-ride any Enviolo settings previously made. If you have selected a very low rpm in the Enviolo App, and then later select "Slowest" on the remote controller then obviously the...

Specialized Vado 5.0 IGH Cadence Survey

If you want to have a very low cadence - rather go into the Enviolo app on your phone and while you are riding and move the cadence slider down to 50rpm (from memory it goes down to 50) - I have found when riding very slowly through crowds of walkers that this cadence level works very well as...

Turbo Vado 5.0: IGH or chain?

@Stefan Mikes As previously mentioned, you can add a manual gear selector on the IGH bikes to override the automatic system - so you can have the best of both worlds (similar to most automatic cars)

Turbo Vado 5.0: IGH or chain?

Yep - I have a step-through. Really makes life easy

Turbo Vado 5.0: IGH or chain?

You can purchase a manual selector that wirelessly talks to the Automatiq system so you could manually change gears

Specialized 3.0 Vado IGH - I'm tiny but I like the feel of an M

Go with what you feel comfortable with and confident to ride - if a bigger size feels right then it probably is! Especially if you want to sit more upright. I agree with TiCruiser - go with a MIL compatible seat to fit on the rack

Turbo Vado 5.0: IGH or chain?

I agree - it takes time to get your head around it. Its a different mindset - to just pedal at a set cadence and the bike takes care of setting the gear.

Mission Control no longer shows firmware versions and update version numbers...

Is this what you are talking about? I can still access this information under "Diagnose"

New Como design may cause some problems. Solutions?

On most Thule bike racks you can add a supplementary number plate

Turbo Vado 5.0: IGH or chain?

The Start from stop setting doesn't seem to be "overwritteen" by the Specialized software settings - I have set mine with the Enviolo app and it hasn't changed.
