I like that you are thinking out of the box. My bikeshop won't do that and they are so reasonable it makes no sense for me to touch the bike. The back tire is still QR which I will live with for one season and then make a decision to put on a new wheel. I really hate QR even though it is proven.

I find the stock programming on the M620 motor to work fine. I like the linear power. What I don't like is that the motor isn't working up to full capacity. From what I read this motor can easily achieve 2kw nominal. Does the X1 achieve much better acceleration or is it just a mild upgrade...

Ill check it out. There controllers seem more for extra range and smoothness. I want stump pulling power. The new Ultra is a beast and should easily put out 2k watts nominal from what I read.

I emailed them last week and they are out of the controllers doe to the chip shortage. I also don't love that I have to pull the motor and send it to them. Are all companies that sell controllers do it that way?
