Ecotric Fat Tire 26" No Motor Drive

I have an Ecotric Hammer. The motor will kick in while pedaling or you can just use the throttle. I believe most ebikes work this way. Mine has been perfect, sorry about your troubles. It's for sale because it's too big for me btw, near Seattle.

    BBS02 100km range

Still confused. Does it provide power if you set it to 0? Otherwise it sounds like it's doing what it is supposed to do. I don't know where to find the factory settings for mine. I never tweaked it.

Laudou, also, in your first post you said you had the 750 watt motor but then later said you had the 1000 watt like mine. Which is it?

    BBS02 100km range

Laudou, I have the factory settings. I used to live up an incredibly steep hill. My bike did die that day 1/2 mile from my house on the hill. Other than that that ride was flat to rolling hills with not much elevation change. I think your tires are your main problem. Those fatties really create...

    BBS02 100km range

I think the claimed specs are not realistic. My best was 74.9 miles (120 km) with a BBSHD 1000 watt and a 17.4 amp battery. I was in PAS 3 out of 9 and pedaled the entire time. I converted my Specialized Crosstrail which has skinnier then mountain bike tires and weighs 58# with the 12 pound...

Bafang BBSHD no response in PAS 1

Tom, I have a 52 volt battery. What exactly was locked out? They say the motor is rated 48v/52v btw.

Bafang BBSHD no response in PAS 1

The question was why did they bother to change from the simple numerical PAS system to eco/sport? It's not addressed to you.

Bafang BBSHD no response in PAS 1

I was thinking that you have the newer ‘upgraded‘ model. Mine is about 21 months old. But seriously why did the bother?

Laudou, how old is your display? Also it’’s weird that yours has 2 default modes, seems like there ought to be only one.

Bafang BBSHD no response in PAS 1

I can’t remember if I got a manual but do remember finding a YouTube how to. I just ran through my PAS right nowI forgot I had a 3. From turning on the bike to changing the PAS it’s 30 seconds or less. Here’s some pics. Where does it say eco/sport on yours?

Bafang BBSHD no response in PAS 1

I have the DPC-18 display. You can switch from 5 to 9 PAS really easy by just scrolling through the menu. Mine is almost 2 years old now. It does not have an eco or sport mode which may be in a newer version. It has performed flawlessly. This was in that other thread or some other thread.

I’m Moving To Silverdale, WA and am looking for fun stuff

I should be there April 8th. I used to live in Gig Harbor but never rode up this way. I’m looking for fun places and compatible buddies for rides I have a Specialized Crosstrail which will do most trails and also will go a pretty good way out. I really like those joints where you can bring the...

A BBSHD Killer? Here comes the CYC Photon

My BBSHD kit was $1500 but that included the big battery, and the upgraded display and smart charger. I messed up the threads on one of the supplied crank arms so I used one of my old ones. Back then I got the stock crank for free but they charge for it now. 2000 miles later it still is doing...

A BBSHD Killer? Here comes the CYC Photon

How do I tell what the amp rating is on my BBSHD? Thanks. And is the 30 amp SHD heavier then it's weaker brothers or are you saying it's just heavier than the Photon?

A BBSHD Killer? Here comes the CYC Photon

I gave up on that video. It's just too boring. He should have condensed it considerably. Is the consensus here that it's just too small a motor trying to do too much? And the BBSHD does a better job of handling the heat?

A BBSHD Killer? Here comes the CYC Photon

I installed the BB on my Crosstrail 2 years ago. It works great. I can do about 36 mph on the flats and regularly do 40+ mile rides.

    Amazon vs dealer

There's also the customer service from essentials. You can talk direct to someone who has english as a first language. I'm assuming the OP is from the US. I think they have a European store too.
