The FLX Blade - Solid FUN!

Support got back to me today... actually I woke up to an email that my order had shipped and another email that said they shipped the 2 small cogs. So it should just be a matter of getting them installed, which they said they would also cover the cost. My impression after talking to a few...

The FLX Blade - Solid FUN!

Google “Sram xg-899” and you’ll see the price, for the cassette alone. The issue is that it’s just 2 cogs but you have to replace the whole thing. I found a place that sells it for 240 in the US, but gonna see what FLX has to say first. The chainring and chain are fine. The cassette had some...

The FLX Blade - Solid FUN!

Yeah, I love this bike. It's been about 4 months and 900 miles and it's been a great ride. It's my first mid-drive so I'm learning that drive components (chain, cassettes, etc) wear happens much faster. The torque on this bike is ridiculous. While I spend most of my time in "Eco - level 1" so...

The FLX Blade - Solid FUN!

I do have a seat post... the Suntour SP12-NCX It works great but probably not a true replacement for a FS bike. For my light trail riding and the terrible roads we have in Austin, it does the job. It is a heavy bike, but I knew that going in... however, while riding with non-electric bike...

The FLX Blade - Solid FUN!

It's been great so far. I tend to keep it in eco-mode #1 so I get some exercise.... but throw it into Sport mode #5 and it's insane.... I can do 30 w/o any effort and with effort mid 30's.... On a flat into a downhill you can get it up to 45 with shear terror attached. ;-)

The FLX Blade - Solid FUN!

We talked thru private message, but figured I'd answer here too for others. I find the SRAM EX-1 to be a great setup. I wasn't sure at first and was convinced I'd be putting on a bigger chainring for faster speeds, but the stock setup is perfect. In 8th gear, the pedal cadence is perfect and...

The FLX Blade - Solid FUN!

Yeah Yeah! Insane. Maybe I'll bolt a sign to the bike that says, "I have plenty of keys at home! Report me to the police if I'm cutting my lock" ;)

The FLX Blade - Solid FUN!

Well, it's a bit more than an alarm... and a bit overpriced, but it was a gift so it's working out well. It's the Smart Halo that does other stuff like navigation indication, light, etc... but for me, the best thing is the alarm because I don't have to remember to arm it. As soon as the BT...

The FLX Blade - Solid FUN!

So here's a fun and related story about my new Blade... I met a friend for lunch, down on the drag near UT, last week. While unlocking my bike afterwards, I had 2 construction guys come up to me to let me know that they were approached by a guy asking to borrow their bolt cutters so he could...

The FLX Blade - Solid FUN!

Don't get confused so easily.... I was being nice and just moving the conversation along... I'm here to talk about the bike, not win internet fights.

Agreed.... I figured that goes w/o saying.... :-)

Biktrix: An 8-month journey into delays, empty promises, and outright lies

I would love to believe that. As I said in my post, I did look through the entire box. I told you in the email that I did not, to see what you would say.... The only thing in there was the bike and the box that had my parts from the previous bike. There was no extra battery and no box with...

The FLX Blade - Solid FUN!

Yeah, that's a tough call. My last bike was 19". I test rode a larger 21" on my last bike and they both felt OK. The 21" was more roomy, but I guess at 6'1", it didn't feel necessary and I could compensate w/taller seat post and stem extension... My guess as to why there is only 1 frame size...

Biktrix: An 8-month journey into delays, empty promises, and outright lies

Correct. As I stated in the original post above... I pointed this out after receiving my bike w/o hydraulic brakes. And Roshan said: So this is why you don't see the issue. However, the Ultra FS page still says it has hydraulic brakes.

Biktrix: An 8-month journey into delays, empty promises, and outright lies

I would have been fine with "No"... I never asked for more than what I paid for (or thought I was paying for). Through the 100+ emails, I was never irrational or demanded anything more than I was entitled. I took the long and bumpy road because you, while it seemed like things were in chaos...

Biktrix: An 8-month journey into delays, empty promises, and outright lies

I did, with the exception of $200 (packaging/shipping cost to get everything back to them) and all the custom stuff (grips, bottle holder, bell, and rear tire) I added to the original bike just because I just wanted it to be over.

The FLX Blade - Solid FUN!

I recently purchased the FLX Blade and couldn't be happier. I got in touch with FLX and Rob, one of the founders, called me back immediately and answered my questions and confirmed that the bike was in stock and ready to ship. I made the purchase on a Thursday and had the bike the following...

Biktrix: An 8-month journey into delays, empty promises, and outright lies

In an attempt to make a tl;dr, here's the highlights: Purchased the Juggernaut Ultra 8 months ago. Paid for upgraded suspension and got the standard suspension. Brakes were listed as hydraulic and I got mechanical I had this bike for a couple weeks with quality control issues and required...

Powerful Fat Tire E-bike w/ Torque sensor from Juiced Bikes

I made a late order (Aug 24) and saw a couple days later on their site that the delivery date changed from September to November. I contacted sales with my order number to ask and got the following response: I just finally read thru this thread to get a heads up on where things are. I ordered...
