    Luna Z1 - First impressions

Yeah, the Apollo is a sexy beast, I sold mine and got the X2, which suits my needs better than the Apollo…thinking bout building a fat tire version of the Z1. Do you feel any difference in power between the two? My main gripe with the Apollo is it was too powerful!

The battery I got from Dengfu looks to be 30A, and it does not bypass the battery power switch. Here is the label on the battery

    Luna Z1 - First impressions

Hmmm, odd the Black has 48V. its says the Black comes with stock M620, upgradeable to X1, so must have something to do with the controller. i believe the Apollo also had a juiced up controller.

    Luna Z1 - First impressions

I was just thinking i have not seen any complaints with the Watwagons Hydra battery life (which uses the same Dengfu E22 frame as the Z1) so I just took a look at the specs. looks like they spec a 52v battery, same as the Luna Apollo had...could the 52V vs 48V be the difference in battery life...

    Luna X2 - First Impressions

Awesome, now go out and have fun! :P FYI, The X2 is based on the E10 frame manufactured by Dengfu. If you google Dengfu E10, or CHEEB emtb, you will find a lot of DIY build posts... you can glean a lot of build and trouble shooting info from those posts that can be applied directly to your X2.

    Luna X2 - First Impressions

Ok, sounds like there is another issue then. Did you connect the loose cable when you assembled it? When I received mine there was a loose cable that I THINK I had to plug into the controller, I don't recall exactly where it plugged. If you did have a loose cable, and you did plug it in...

    Luna X2 - First Impressions

Lol. Step 1, make sure the silver button is depressed. Do not depress and hold, just depress. Its a on/off switch, so make sure it is in the depressed state...depressed and non-depressed is very subtle. Next, press, and hold for a few seconds, the bottom power button on the controller... don't...

    Luna X2 - First Impressions

The 'black gizmo' is your motor controller. It's the bottom button for power on/off. The + button cycles the PAS level up (1-5), the - button cycles the PAS level down.

    Luna X2 - First Impressions

Big bird, The silver button you mention engages the battery. There is a controller with 3 buttons on the left side of the Handel bar, press and hold the power button.

    Luna Z1 - First impressions

I have not tried both, but i did have an Apollo, and now have a X2. IMO (i am a total newbie to MTB/EMTB, and i hadn't been on a bike for probably 20 years prior to buying the Apollo, so take it for what its worth), Apollo vs Z1 depends on what your looking to do with the bike. the Apollo is a...

Need help deciding between Luna X1 or Apollo

Thanks Tom. Unfortunately it looks like neither the Hydra or the X1 will be offered in XL frame (confirmed with both vendors) or i would probably go with the Hydra. The Apollo is back in stock right now so i just pulled the trigger on a XL Apollo. I test rode a XL Levo this past weekend and...
